Live-in relationship (LIR) has to be decided ...Hi,

Live-in relationship (LIR) has to be decided by the concerned individuals. Not the society or laws.

In our society, where we are still driven by caste, religion, sex, reservations based on caste, on poverty line stories - this way of living will not help.

Problems of LIR :
1) Consider the case of a child, born out of LIR. Which caste it belongs to?. The child is illegally born, as per our laws. 2) In future, the concerned woman cannot go to court, demanding money.
3) The child will never have grandparents, relatives.
4) Infact, the child will not even be admitted to school / colleges so easily.

I am not trying to justify the above, but that's the society we are living in currently.

I strongly believe that our marriage system is very much created with basic thoughts.. Whoever created it, it's done with reasons. May be, our ancestors thought about same sex marriage, LIR many 1000 years ago & created this?. I dont know.

But still, the system is a very good one I believe.

With reference to the mamiyar kodumai, it's there for ages.. it's not brand new 1 dear friend.
We also know the stories, that daughter-in-law sends her in-laws to old aged people homes.
Either way, the problem exists.

For the sake of some people, you cannot blame the system.
If so, how about throwing our IPC itself, since some politicians, criminals screwing it up?.

Even in foreign countries, where everything is common, LIR is accepted, but not legalised. Atleast in Holland (where I have travelled many times & have good friends), gay couples, LIR are very common. But they will never have children, since the govt does not recognise that.

Now coming back to quesiton - is it required to have children?.

Our population growth is attributed to marriage at early ages.. around 25-26. Remember, due to this reason, our economy is growing.

Our system is built with the basic assumption - your children are your biggest assets.

Well, I have 2 sons, officially & legally married, only once :-)
I have travelled to many many european countries, I have seen the gay couples, LIR etc.,
All the above are out of my own experiences...Suddihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08528657755124303939noreply@blogger.com
